For the past 25+ years, Amy has worked in the field of Commercial Architecture as an Interior Designer and Design Director. She has worked for Gensler, HNTB, as principal of her own architecture and interior design firm, and as Design Director for a venerable Steelcase Dealership in the Midwest. Amy is a Certified Professional Coach, a professional member of IIDA, NICDQ and is a LEED AP.
Amy is a Certified Professional Life Coach as well as a design professional, whose coaching has assisted architects, interior designers and other related professionals to develop the program and tool set needed to create a life and work balance. She has helped them remove the obstacles that sometimes prevent the success and balance they have desired. Amy has assisted design professionals navigate the sometimes murky waters of their careers for over 25 years. “I have been guiding and mentoring young architects and designers for over 25 years, believing strongly in the collaborative spirit of architecture and design. It gives me great pleasure to see people, as well as projects, succeed!”
Amy lives in SoCal with her husband and their faithful, four legged companion, Otis, the Bug (Boston Terrior/Pug mix). She is currently working as a volunteer for Hospice by the Sea and practicing the craft of writing when she’s not surfing the net for really wonderful design items to share.
